In Chinese patients with schizophrenia the C100T polymorphism of the CYP2D6 gene and the C163A polymorphism of the CYP1A2 gene are associated with neuroleptic drug-induced tardive dyskinesia. However, genetic factors have a weaker association with susceptibility than mean age and duration of illness.
